Trauma doesn’t just live in your memories. It lives in your reactions, your relationships, your body, your sense of safety. It shows up in ways people don’t always see or understand.
I wish more people knew that trauma isn’t about “dwelling on the past.” It’s about trying to navigate the present with a nervous system that’s been through hell. Healing isn’t linear. It’s not pretty. But it’s possible — and people deserve support, not judgment, while they’re doing the work.
