The Importance of Being Met Where You’re At
One of the most life‑changing things harm reduction taught me is that people don’t need you to drag them somewhere they’re not ready to go. They need you to meet them where they are. When someone met me where I was — without shame, without pressure — it changed everything. It made me feel human again. And once you feel human, you start making human decisions. That’s why I show up for people exactly where they’re at. That’s where real change starts.
